Where do I go to get material specific settings for tig welding

There are several other variables, such as gas-flow, gas mixture, cup size, and even specific alloys, to consider, but many modern machines have presets that will be very close to optimum, especially for beginners, where you can nter the material, thickness, weld type and it will use it's defaults.

If that isn't available to you, there are several companies that give suggestions, and on-line tutorials have suggested settings. For example

These I have bookmarked (well, not the WYAT settings guide)

https://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/tig-welder-settings.html - he also has a very good series of welding videos, but they're more for the professional - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqq70AnPkj4-UApS_m_6mPw

My particular favourite - Justin does a great job explaining and also has other useful advice and suggestions for automotive projects, like cages, suspension components, etc - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcxlBLmujrjTVSSUkzZ2Jlg

This chap has many small projects and tips for honing one's skills - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcuMSDG2svjR7BncF841GJg

Thank you Gord!
